The circulating water volume, air volume, and heat conduction characteristics of the tower.
The normal operation of cooling towers in terms of thermal performance mainly includes three factors: the circulating water volume, air volume, and heat conduction characteristics of the tower. When any one or a few conditions change, the operation of the tower will be affected.
In order to achieve good performance of the cooling tower, it is necessary to maintain the cleanliness of the tower and the uniformity of water distribution and air volume distribution, so as to obtain continuous and ideal cooling capacity. Do not allow dirt, algae, moss, etc. to accumulate, in order to avoid blocking the water distribution system or drainage system. Also, keep the measuring orifice plate free of debris to ensure correct measurement and control.
There are several ways to cause changes in air flow: changing the static pressure point of the fan operating point, changing the fan speed, or changing the inclination angle of the fan blades. In addition, the accumulation of scale, grease, algae on the packing or water collector, as well as excessive water load flowing into the packing, can also cause a decrease in air flow. If the fan installed in the air duct is damaged, the gap between the top of the wing and the inner wall of the air duct will increase, reducing the efficiency of the fan. The air leakage into the packing after the tower shell plate falls will also reduce the air flow through the packing. Deformation and detachment of fillers, nozzle blockage, and deposition of impurities in water distribution pipelines are all important factors causing poor heat transfer efficiency.
